Community Project Funding (CPF) allows Members of Congress the opportunity to request direct funding for projects that benefit the communities they represent.

The FY 2025 guidelines for requesting funding for community projects have NOT yet been released, but our office is proactively gathering requests in anticipation of approaching deadlines. As in prior years, projects will likely be restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and only state and local governments and eligible non-profit entities will likely be permitted to receive funding.

Applications with demonstrable community support and a federal nexus will only be considered. Evidence of support can take many forms, including but not limited to, letters from local stakeholders or elected officials, a commitment of funding from state or local government, op-eds, online petitions, etc.

Please make sure to designate the proper subcommittee for your request.

For more information on project eligibility, you may look at the project proposals we previously submitted here

Please note, Labor-HHS-Education, Financial Services, and Defense, did not accept Community Project Funding applications last year and similar restriction may apply this year. The ban applies to all health centers, hospitals, postsecondary institutions, and museums.

The deadline for submissions to our office is 5PM on Friday, April 12, 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.

FY25 CPF proposals can be submitted here.

Please email questions or concerns to NY15Appropriations@mail.house.gov.

(NOTE: A Member of Congress may only submit 15 Community Project Funding requests to the Appropriations Committee each year. In the past, previously funded projects have typically ranged between $100K-$5M. This category of funding is extremely competitive.)
