Bronx, NY –Today, U.S. Representative Torres (NY-15) announced $18,171,279 in federal funding for community projects across New York’s 15th Congressional District. This funding, secured through the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations process, will support a range of initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, expanding access to healthcare, and enhancing educational opportunities for constituents.

I am committed to continuing to advocate for our community’s needs in Congress. Together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant future for the Bronx and all its residents.”

Rep. Torres championed funding for 14 projects that will directly benefit New York’s 15th District residents. These include:

In addition to these projects, Congressman Torres secured funding for various other community initiatives, including infrastructure improvements, job training programs, and environmental conservation efforts.

House Democrats were successful in removing harmful extreme House Republican policies from these bills that attempted to make abortion illegal everywhere, slash efforts to fight climate change, and threaten our national security. Instead, these final bipartisan 2024 funding bills will help keep our communities safe, fight inflation, and boost our economy. Taken together, the funding for New York’s 15th District and the funding increases for critical government programs will continue to grow our local economy and support our communities.
